"Optimal health, one step at a time"

My Journey to "Here"
& What I Hold Sacred

After more than a decade working in sales, I developed the desire to be of service to others. The first step in that journey was going to UNC Chapel Hill to get my bachelor's degree in nursing. After completing my BSN, I started my nursing career at Duke University Hospital in Durham, where I continue to work as both a bedside care nurse and a charge nurse.
My time working as a nurse along with my personal interest in pursuing and maintaining a healthy lifestyle motivated me to become a health coach. I genuinely enjoy having health discussions with others and helping them develop strategies for attaining their goals.
As I developed the necessary tools and attained my certification, I began to offer health coaching to staff members at Duke, which continues to be a rewarding experience. In addition to working with my professional clients, I serve my community by providing group health coaching on a pro-bono basis. I continue to expand my skills and knowledge through continuing education in the fields of holistic nursing and health coaching, along with ongoing sessions with a professional coach mentor.
On a personal level, the guiding forces in my life are my faith and the drive to live up to my own potential.
I am a grateful father of two beautiful, vivacious little girls. Some of the things I enjoy are jiu-jitsu, spending time in nature, reading, traveling to the beach or the mountains and spending quality time with friends and family.
